Panasonic, which had recently shifted the base of its smartphone operations to India, has announced the launch of a new Eluga-series smartphone in the country today. Dubbed as Panasonic Eluga A, the phone will be joining the Eluga U in the company portfolio.
“ELUGA smartphones present our customers with superior design, advanced technology integration and unique user interface for single hand operation. We are sure that this phone will meet our customer’s needs,” said Pankaj Rana, Head Mobility Business at Panasonic India.
Coming to the smartphone, the new Eluga A features Android 4.3, 5-inch FWVGA display, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. The phone also packs 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 2000 mAh battery, dual-SIM support, FM Radio and 3G.
In addition, the smartphone is pre-loaded with Panasonic’s Fit Home UI, which allows for one-hand operations as well as double-tap to wake feature.
Qualcomm has revealed that Panasonic Eluga A is based on a Qualcomm Reference Design and comes with features like Snapdragon Audio+ audio enhancement, Snapdragon Voice+ voice enhancement, Snapdragon BatteryGuru for extended battery life and Qualcomm Quick Charge for up to 40% faster charging.
The phone will go on sale in the coming days in Black and White colour options.
