It seems Intex is facing a scarcity of new names for its smartphones thus it has decided to recycle an old one for its latest phone. The company on Tuesday launched the new Intex Aqua Style in the Indian market, which has no relation to the original, which was released in February last year with 5.9-inch display.
New Aqua Style features a 4-inch WVGA display, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.4.2. The phone also comes with dual-SIM support, 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, 1400 mAh battery and 3G.
In addition, Intex has included the usual connectivity options, 4GB of internal storage, and microSD card slot in this budget smartphone.
According to Intex, Aqua Style (2014) will retail for INR 5,990 in the country and will be released in Black and White variants.
“The Aqua range has been widely accepted by our customers across India. The Aqua Style has been designed keeping in mind, the need for style and quality. With Aqua Style, we aim to empower youngsters looking for a mobile that speaks about their personality,” said Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Senior General Manager, Mobile Business, Intex Technologies.
