
Asus has announced that its Zenfone 5 smartphone, which is currently out of stock at Flipkart, will be back on sale at e-retailer Flipkart today. The company is adding 10,000 units of the smartphone at the e-retailer, which exclusively carries the Zenfone 5 online in the country. Asus has not stated how many units of 8GB or 16GB variants will be on sale.
Earlier, Asus had launched the Zenfone 5 on July 9 in the country and it went on sale the next day but was quickly sold out.
Asus has now stated that it will be filling in the stock on a weekly basis to cater to the increasing demand for the Zenfone 5 smartphone.
To remind you, Asus Zenfone 5 retails at INR 9,999 for the 8GB and at INR 12,499 for the 16GB model. The phone features a 5-inch 1280x720p HD display, 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Atom processor, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.3 with Zen UI. The phone also packs 8MP rear camera, front camera, microSD card slot and 2110 mAh battery.

In related news, Asus recently started rolling out a new software update for Zenfone 5 in the country, which brings various improvements as well as bug-fixes for the phone. The update carried the build number – V1.16.40.8_20140725_9834 – and is being released over-the-air (OTA).

Hope the ‘bug fixes’ fix the quick battery drain problem that many ppl are complaining on flipkart.
