
Domestic smartphone brand Karbonn has announced the launch of two new budget Android phones in the country today. Part of the company’s A-series, the new A1+ Super and A5 Turbo are powered by Android 4.4 KitKat.
Targeted to the first-time smartphone buyers, the phones have been priced under INR 4,000.
“Today, a large segment of consumer is shifting from feature phones to smartphones and looks for a smartphone with advanced technology and maximum features at affordable prices. While this growth of the smartphone market is basis the greater availability of affordable devices and quality after sales services by the vendors, we also seek to capture the majority of this nascent market via a remarkable product range, that offers affordability and stylishness to the consumers, providing them a unique and never-seen-before mobile experience. This is the basis on which our new launches – the Karbonn A1+ Super and A5 Turbo are based upon which offers brilliant specs and greater functionality to the user and thus create a great choice in this segment,” said Shashin Devsare, Executive Director, Karbonn.
Coming to the smartphones, Karbonn A1+ Super packs 3.5-inch HVGA display, 1.3GHz dual-core processor, 3MP rear camera with LED flash, dual-SIM support and VGA front camera. Karbonn A5 Turbo also comes with 3.5-inch HVGA display but is powered by 1GHz single-core processor. In addition, the phone features 3MP rear camera, dual-SIM support and microSD card slot. Both smartphones include the usual set of connectivity options including 3G.
