Indian smartphone vendor Micromax has quietly released a new Android 4.4 smartphone in the country. Now available at e-retailer Infibeam, the smartphone has got a price-tag of INR 6,999 and will be competing with the likes of Asus Zenfone 4 and Moto E in the country.
Coming to the specifications, the phone features a 4-inch WVGA display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. Micromax Canvas Fire also comes with 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, dual-SIM support and 1750 mAh battery.
In addition, the smartphone packs the usual set of connectivity options including 3G.
Given these specifications, the price seems on the upside as Micromax itself sells Unite 2 smartphone at INR 6,999, which comes with better specifications than Canvas Fire. Why would anyone pay more to get less, apart from probably in the case when the consumer wants to get that iPhone-ish design present on Canvas Fire A093. What are your thoughts on the pricing? Let us know in comments.
LOL! With 512MB RAM I don’t see how it could compete against the ZenFone 4 or Moto E.
