Spice launches Stellar 445 with quad-core Qualcomm CPU for INR 5,299

Spice Stellar 445Entry-level is the most happening smartphone segment in the Indian market right now. In the last two months, we have seen a flood of new smartphone launches and a number of them are quite decent. Joining the fray is Spice with its new Stellar 445 Android phone.

Priced at just INR 5,299, the Spice Stellar 445 sports a 4-inch WVGA display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor (most likely Snapdragon 200). The phone runs on Android 4.3 and comes with 3.2MP rear camera, 1.3MP front shooter and 1500 mAh battery.

In addition, Spice has included 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, dual-SIM support and 3G.

According to the company, it has also added support for multiple Indian languages like Hindi, Bangla, Tamil, Telugu, and Marathi on the phone. Among the pre-loaded apps, the Stellar 445 packs Swiftkey keyboard, Olx, Whatsapp and Spice Cloud with 2GB of free storage.

“This is the first 10.16 cm smartphone from Spice with a Quad Core processor that enables multitasking and faster speed. Through the multiple Indian languages option in our products we intend to reach out to the masses with the readiness of their choice of language in their mobiles. The idea to empower every Indian through their smartphones has been our engine of growth and we have been working towards it by proliferating data services through our 3G enabled handsets,” said T M Ramakrishnan, CEO – Devices, Spice Retail Ltd.

Spice Stellar 445 will go on sale this week at all major retail stores.
