Pre-orders begin at Amazon.in on July 3, shipping July 9
Samsung has announced the launch of its camera-phone Galaxy K Zoom in the Indian market. The phone will be released in partnership with Amazon.in, which will exclusively retail the phone in the country.
As per a press release issued by the company, the Galaxy K Zoom will go on pre-order at 00:01AM July 3, while the shipping will start on July 9.
Originally introduced in April 2014, Samsung Galaxy K Zoom is a successor the company’s previously launched Galaxy S4 Zoom smartphone and packs a 10x optical zoom lens with 20.7MP 1/2.3-inch image sensor and Xenon flash. The phone is powered by 1.3GHz Exynos hexa-core processor and sports a 4.8-inch 720pHD display.
K Zoom runs on Android 4.4.2 and comes with Samsung’s Touchwiz UI and camera-specific enhancements like 28 smart modes including Pro Suggest (recommends filters), AF/AE separation (to help select separate focus and exposure points) and Smile/ Blink detection.
The phone has been priced at INR 29,999 and the company is also bundling a number of Galaxy Gifts like 50GB of free cloud-space from Dropbox and more with every purchase of K Zoom.
Amazon has also stated that the first 1000 pre-orders from its website will get freebies worth INR 6000 like free Samsung pop out case, free Sandisk 32GB MicroSD card, 6 movie tickets, INR 1000 value off coupon on purchase of select handbags and INR 1000 value off coupon on purchase of select watches.
