Thanks to some premature listings by a Vietnamese e-retailer, two upcoming Samsung budget Android smartphones have been revealed. Successors of the existing Samsung smartphones, the new Galaxy Pocket 2 Duos and Galaxy Core 2 Duos could arrive later this month or early next month.
As per the products listing on Mainguyen (now removed), the Samsung Galaxy Pocket 2 Duos will feature 3.2-inch QVGA display, Android 4.4.2, single-core 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM. The phone will also come with dual-SIM support, 2MP rear camera, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and 1200 mAh battery.
On the other hand, Galaxy Core 2 Duos will pack 4.5-inch WVGA display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 768MB of RAM and Android 4.4.2. The phone also come with 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and 2000 mAh battery.
There is no word on the pricing of these smartphones but we hope to hear from the company soon. Also, as Samsung had done in the past, we also expect to see the single-SIM versions of these smartphones in select markets.
