Sony Xperia Tablet ZSony has started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the Xperia Tablet Z 3G in the Indian market. The update can be installed using the Sony PC Companion or Bridge for Mac tools.

According to Sony, the update brings the Android 4.4-specific goodies like performance enhancements, immersive mode, upgraded downloads app as well as Sony-specific upgrades like improved user-interface with revamped status bar, quick settings, new launch animation and live wallpaper. In addition, the update also packs latest version of Sony’s native apps like messaging, email, Smart Social camera etc., updated Sony media apps, and compatibility with SmartBand SWR10 and Lifelog app.

The update roll-out was originally begun by the company late last month and has reached India recently.
