Philips launches three Android phones in India

Sang Fei-owned Philips Mobiles has announced the launch of three Android phones for the Indian market today at a press event in New Delhi. This is the second coming for the Philips phones in the country. Before the Sang Fei-acquisition of Philips mobile phone business in 2007, the company used to sell features phones in the market.

Philips has introduced the new W3500, W6610 and S308 Android smartphones, which will go on sale in the coming days.

Talking about Philips W3500 first, the phone features a 5-inch FWVGA display, 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and microSD card slot. It also packs 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, dual-SIM support, and Android 4.2.2.

Coming to Philips W6610, the smartphone includes a 5-inch qHD display, 1GB of RAM, dual-SIM support, and Android 4.2.2. It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor, and includes an 8MP rear camera as well as a front camera, however the unique selling point (USP) of the phone is its 5300 mAh battery, which will provide really long battery back-up.

Lastly, Philips S308 comes with 4-inch WVGA display, 512MB of RAM, Android 4.2.2, 1GHz dual-core MediaTek 6572M processor, 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. The phone also packs 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, and 1400 mAh battery.
