After announcing its entry in the Malaysian market last month, Xiaomi held a press event in Kuala Lumpur earlier today to officially launch Mi 3 and RedMi 1S smartphones in the country. While Mi 3 goes on sale tomorrow at 12PM, RedMi 1S will be released next month.
On the pricing front, the Mi 3 will be sold for RM 889, however the exact pricing of Redmi 1S is unclear right now but will most probably be around RM 413.
The Chinese smartphone maker will be retailing the smartphone via its own web store as well as through telecom operators Celcom, Maxis and Digi. There will only be 4,000 Mi 3 units on sale tomorrow via Xiaomi web store. More units are expected in the coming weeks.
