Japanese telecom operator KDDI today introduced its summer line-up of devices, which will be released on its network over the coming months. Part of this line-up are two very interesting smartphones, which will probably never be released outside Japan in their current form. These are LG built isai FL LG L24 and Sony’s Xperia ZL 2.
Talking about the smartphones in detail, the new isai FL LG L24 is LG’s first smartphone with 5.5-inch Quad-HD display (2560x1440p) display. It features Android 4.4, Snapdragon 801 CPU, 13.2MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. Think of it as a G Pro 2 variant with QHD display on-board.
It will go on sale in late-July in Japan, however the pricing is a mystery at this point.
Coming to Sony’s Xperia ZL 2, the phone packs a 5-inch full HD Triluminos display, 20.7MP rear camera, 3.1MP front camera, Android 4.4 and 3GB of RAM. The phone also features 3000 mAh battery, 32GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and LTE support.
The smartphone will be released in the country in late-May 2014.
In addition to these smartphones, KDDI has also announced Samsung Galaxy S5 (goes on sale May 15), Aquos Serie (late-June), Urbano (Early-July) and Torque (Early-August) smartphones as well as Xperia Z2 Tablet (mid-July) and Asus Memo Pad 8 (Late-August) tablets. You can read more about them at KDDI website.
