Like we had reported earlier, LG’s new G Pro 2 smartphone has started popping up at the online retailers. The phone is currently being sold at Snapdeal.com for INR 49,890 and we expect broader availability over the coming days. You can also try your luck at brick and mortar stores as we are getting reports that they started getting stocks for the phone on Wednesday.
A successor to the company’s Optimus G Pro smartphone, LG G Pro 2 was originally unveiled in February and comes with high-end specifications. The smartphone is LG’s contender for the phablet category and won’t entice regular buyers.
G Pro 2 comes with 5.9-inch full HD IPS display, 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM. It also includes Android 4.4.2, 13MP rear camera with OIS+, 2.1MP front camera and 3200 mAh battery.
On the software front, LG is pre-loading KnockCode, a upgraded version of the company’s previously KnockOn unlock and wake-up mechanism. Other tweaks like QSlide, content lock, and Mini View are also present on the smartphone.
We expect to see an official announcement from the company this week or early next week.
