Secret goes international, is coming to Android soon

Secert appSecret, the iOS app used to make anonymous confessions, revelations, statements etc., is getting ready for the Android version launch as it goes international with release in select markets, reports Techcrunch.

According to the tech blog, Secret co-founder Chrys Bader-Wechseler revealed that they are first releasing the app in the English-speaking countries like UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. The iOS users in these countries can now grab the app from App store.

When asked about the delay in the release of app in more markets, Chrys told Techcrunch that they first wanted to get things right and then move to more countries.  Makes sense.

He also stated that Android version is “well along and on the way (sic).” Bader-Wechseler did not give a specific time-frame about the launch of Android version but we expect it to arrive in the coming weeks.

For those of you hearing about Secret for the first time, this anonymous social network allows users to share short text and image posts with their wider social network without revealing their identity. It works by scanning users’ address books, and showing their updates to a subset of their friends, and friends of friends.
