Samsung Galaxy Core 2 leaked, coming next month

Samsung Galaxy Core 2Samsung is getting ready to launch a new smartphone in Galaxy Core-series with the Galaxy Core 2 moniker, reports Hi-Tech@Mail.ru.  According to the Russian website, Core 2 will arrive in Russia in May with a price-tag of 9990 rubles ($277).

Coming to the specifications, the smartphone is expected to feature a 4.5-inch WVGA display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 512MB of RAM and Android 4.4. In addition, Galaxy Core 2 will also come with 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, and 3G HSPA+ support.

On the imaging front, Samsung is reportedly including 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, and 2000 mAh battery.

This will be the fourth Galaxy Core smartphone fromthe company after the original Galaxy Core, Galaxy Core Advance and Galaxy Core LTE.

Samsung to release star-studded Galaxy S5 in partnership with Swarovski

In related news, Samsung will also be releasing a limited “Crystal Collection edition” of the Galaxy S5 next month. The smartphone is being developed in partnership with Swarovski, which has worked with Samsung in the past too.

The company has released a teaser of the phone on YouTube, which can be seen below.

According to Samsung Korea, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Crystal Collection edition will first be launched in the company’s home market.

  1. Something’s clearly not adding up. This is anything BUT Core 2. The original Core had 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. How can the second gen come with lesser specs?

    Even by Samsung’s standards, that’s highly unlkely. Either the Russians got it wrong in the specs dept. or it’s probably going to be just the “Galaxy Core Neo” or something like that LOL! Samsung at it’s gadget spamming best worst *LMFAO*

  2. The Moto G effect: If Moto G wasn’t there, Samsung would have priced it above 15k. It had to cut corners somewhere so it knocked off the RAM.
