Google Play PeopleGoogle is rolling out an update for Google Play Store, which brings a new way to discover content. The search giant has included a People feature in Play Store, which can be used to follow friends, publications, critics and more.

“Our latest update makes it easy to discover content you’ll love based on recommendations from the people who matter to you. Just select “People” from the sidebar of the Google Play Store app to follow friends, curators and critics,” Google explained in a Google+ post.

To kick off things, Google has partnered with the likes of Time magazine, Wired, The News Yorker, Mashable, CNET, Ariana Huffington and more to share their favourite apps and other Google Play content. If you follow these people or publications, you will be able to see what they are sharing on Google Play.

The People feature is separate from the usual recommendations made by Google Play based on the activity of people in your Google+ circles.
