Samsung Galaxy S5With Samsung’s Galaxy S5 global release date just a few hours away, all major e-retailers have started taking orders for the smartphone in Indian market. The phone can now be ordered from the likes of Flipkart, Saholic and Snapdeal.com for INR 51,499, which is the same price tag that we revealed couple of days ago.

The shipments for these phones are expected to start tomorrow, when the brick and mortar stores will also begin selling the phone. If you don’t want to wait for online order shipments, you can just visit your nearby store to grab the phone.

Is Samsung Galaxy S5 worth INR 51,499?

Not really, Samsung Galaxy S5 is great phone and all but it still doesn’t justify the hefty price-tag. If you are in the market for a high-end smartphone, there are several other phones, which offer better value for money including Samsung’s own Galaxy S4. If you really want to purchase the Galaxy S5, wait for a few weeks, the price will surely come down as has always happened. Also, you can avail the Citibank credit card offer, which gives 20 percent cashback on the INR 51,499 price-tag and brings down the effective price to around INR 41,200. It is important to note that the cashback will take some time to reach your credit card. You can ask for more information from your retailer.

To remind you, Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with 5.1-inch Super AMOLED full HD display, 1.9GHz Exynos 5 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16MP rear camera and Android 4.4. The phone also packs 2MP front camera, 2800 mAh battery, 16GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.
