According to Sony, it chose Taiwan among the first wave of countries to get Xperia Z2 because the company’s Xperia series is very popular in the country and it outperforms most of its rivals.
On pre-order in Singapore
Sony has also started taking pre-orders for Xperia Z2 in Singapore, another Asian market, where the phone will sell for S$998 (US$786). The pre-orders are currently underway and will continue until April 13.
Sony is expected to start selling the Xperia Z2 in more countries including India over the course of next few weeks.
Introduced at Mobile World Congress, Sony Xperia Z2 features a 5.2-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 20.7MP front camera. The phone also packs Android 4.4, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 3200 mAh battery and water/ dust resistance.
