After Moto G, Motorola has now introduced Moto X in the Indian market. The phone is set to go on sale exclusively on Flipkart on March 19. In this article, we will cover everything that you might want to know about the Moto X India launch and availability details.
Pricing
Starting with a key detail, Moto X has been priced at INR 23,999 for the 16GB standard version, which means if you buy Moto X with plastic back (any of the colour options), you will just have to pay INR 23,999. The wood back versions will be sold for INR 25,999.
Motorola is only releasing 16GB single-SIM version in the country, no dual-SIM version or 32GB storage variant will be available.
There is no word on the pricing of the accessories as they haven’t been listed on Flipkart until now.
Availability
Like Moto G, Moto X is also being sold exclusively via Flipkart. The retailer will start taking orders for the phone tomorrow i.e. March 19 around 12 noon. The timing isn’t fixed right now but we will let you know on AndroidOS.in as soon as we hear something.
According to Flipkart, only White and Black colour variants will be in stock tomorrow, rest colour versions and wood back variants will be only available on pre-order and will be shipped in the second week of April 2014.
As per import data, Flipkart has imported 2,000 units of White version and 3,000 units of the Black version of Moto X until now, so if you want to buy the smartphone, be quick in ordering. More stocks are expected over the week.
Launch day Flipkart offers
If you order your Moto X from Flipkart on March 19, you will access to some okayish offers for the retailer.
- INR 1000 cashback if you buy Moto X on EMI
- Flat 70percent off on Moto X cases with Moto X purchases
- 100percent cashback for 10 lucky consumers
Colour options
Motorola is offering five colour options for plastic back – Black, White, Royal Blue, Cherry, and Turquoise and two options for wood backs – Teak and Walnut.
How stupid is it that flipkart only procured 5000 units of the Moto X? I was one of the Moto G customers who ended up waiting 2 weeks for their shipment. My prediction is they’re gonna go out of stock in less than an hour.
