Looking for a keyboard app in Google Play, which supports typing in your Indic language, chances are that your search will end with Indic Keyboard app. Swathanthra Malayalam Computing has released Indic Keyboard app for Android, which supports typing in 15 Indic languages like Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sinhalese, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.
The app works on devices with Android 4.1 or above on board and need the necessary fonts to be present on your device. It uses fonts in Android system in both direct input (characters mapped to keys) and transliteration mode.
“Users can directly type in their native language to any app installed in their phone. An installation wizard is included with the app to ease the setup process. Any novice user can install and setup the app for their language easily,” developer notes in Google Play description.

That app is having less than 50 downloads yet but 185 ratings.. Kuch gadbad hai.. Sponsored article..?

the alternate product Adaptxt (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kpt.adaptxt.beta) is any day better. I use Malayalam and Hindi(occasionally) and Hinglish often.
