Celkon Mobiles has announced the launch of Celkon S1 Android smartphone today. Powered by 1.5GHz quad-core processor, the new smartphone has been priced at INR 14,999.

It features a 5-inch full HD display, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera and Android 4.2.1. Celkon S1 also comes with 3G support, 2300 mAh battery and the usual set of connectivity options.

The smartphone will go on sale in the coming days.

Karbonn A91 smartphone spotted online

In other Indian smartphone market news, a new Karbonn smartphone ‘A91’ has been spotted online. Priced at INR 4490, the phone is currently listed on Flipkart website as coming soon.

Karbonn A91 features dual-SIM support, 1.3GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.2, and 3.9-inch WVGA display. It also packs 3.2MP rear camera, 1500 mAh battery, 256MB of RAM, 512MB of internal storage, microSD card slot and 2G.
