HTC is reportedly working on a smartphone that will be powered by MediaTek’s true octa-core processor. Images of this rumoured smartphone have appeared on Chinese website ePrice.
As you can see, HTC seems to be going for a simple design and will be releasing the phone in multiple colour options, probably targeting to the younger demographic.
This smartphone is said to be a part of the company’s Desire line-up and will come with mid-range specifications. Exact specifications are a mystery but some suggest that the phone will pack a 5-inch 720p display, 8MP rear camera, Android 4.3 with Sense 5.5, and 1.5GB of RAM.
The phone is first expected to reach China, however launch in other Asian countries will most likely be on cards as well.
