Following Moto X, it is now the turn of Droid series of Motorola smartphones on Verizon to get Android 4.4 KitKat update. Verizon has announced today that it is starting the KitKat update roll-out for Droid Ultra, Mini and Maxx and it will continue over the next few days in phases.

 

With this update, the Droid smartphones will directly be taken to Android 4.4 from Android 4.2.2.

According to Verizon, the update brings KitKat goodies like immersive mode, camera improvements, and cloud-print support as well as other changes like FitBit support, updated Verizon apps, Droid Zap 2.0, and more.
