HTC today announced that it is bringing the dual-SIM version of HTC One to UK. The smartphone was earlier released in select markets like China, Russia and India. The phone features some differences from the single SIM version but it is still largely the same.
On the differences part, HTC One dual-SIM comes with a removable back cover, which gives access to the two SIM card slots and microSD card slot. MicroSD card slot is not present in the single-SIM version.
Apart from the aforementioned changes, everything else is pretty much the same.
“HTC is changing the premium mobile market for international users. This is the first time we have released a dual SIM version of one of our premium handsets in the UK which means that users no longer have to compromise on the quality of their phone to avoid costly international calls or separate their work and personal life. We’re creating a new approach and one that we believe will appeal to business users, foreign nationals and international students alike,” said Peter Frolund, HTC’s General Manager UK.
The HTC One dual SIM is now available on pre-order via the Official HTC Store for £494.99 and the company is also in talks with a number of networks and retailers to offer the handset direct to consumers.
