Twitter has released an update for its official Android app on Tuesday. The update brings host of search-related improvements and easier access to trends.

Coming to the details, Twitter Android app now allows you to filter search results by various content types like photo, video, news, people etc.  You can easily refine search results to quickly find what you are looking for.

“New filters in search help you quickly find exactly the Tweets and people you’re looking for. And now you have the option to view all Tweets –– simply toggle between top Tweets and all Tweets at the top of your search results,” Twitter noted in a blog post.

• Search results now show content that is filtered to the type of moments you want.
• See what’s trending on TV and close by to you: After you’ve browsed through all trends in Discover, you’ll see additional trends about both TV and local content.
• Better login verification: Take a screenshot of your verification backup code when you enroll or generate a new one.
