HTC has released its Desire 500 mid-range Android smartphone in UK today. The smartphone is now available at Carphone Warehouse while other retailers will begin the sales soon. The retailer will also be exclusively offering the Shimmer White version of the phone, while Lacquer Black version will be available at all retailers.
“We wanted to change what people expect from a mid-range smartphone and deliver a highly competitive device that didn’t compromise on the features that make our handsets world-class. The Desire 500 achieves that,” said Peter Frolund, HTC’s General Manager UK.
HTC Desire 500 features 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor, 1GBof RAM, and 4.3-inch display. The phone also packs 4GB of storage, 8MP rear camera, and 1.6MP front camera. In addition, Desire 500 comes with Android 4.2, Sense 5.0, 1800 mAh battery and microSD card slot.
