XOLO seems to be on a spree to launch variants of its existing smartphones in the country. The company has released at least three such smartphones – XOLO Q800 X-Edition, A500L, A500S IPS. These smartphones are now available at various e-retailers including Flipkart, Saholic and Snapdeal.

Talking about XOLO Q800 X-Edition first, the smartphone packs almost the same specifications as its predecessor apart from the slightly different MediaTek chipset. Q800 X Edition features 1.2GHz quad-core MT6589 processor, instead of 1.2GHz quad-core MT6589M present of Q800. The only practical difference between these two chips is that MT6589 can decode upto 1080p video files while MT6589M can only decode upto 720p. Also, the accompanying PowerVR SGX544 GPU is clocked higher on MT6589. Q800 X-Edition is being sold at INR 11,999.
