Chinese smartphone manufacturer Gionee is all set to launch its flagship smartphone Elife E6 in the Indian market. The company has sent out invites to the tech press in India for the official launch on October 3 in New Delhi.

Although there are still a few days in the official release, Gionee Elife E6 has already appeared at e-tailer Snapdeal, which promises to ship it in ten days, suggesting the phone will reach customers only after the launch.

The Snapdeal listing has also revealed the pricing of the smartphone, which is INR 22,165.  Before we go into the steep price-tag, let us talk about the specifications of the phone.

Elife E6 features a 5-inch full HD display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, Android 4.2 and 32GB of storage. The phone also packs 2000 mAh battery and weighs just 128 grams.

The specifications certainly look decent but for the given price-tag, one also needs to consider the after sales service and support. Also, for INR 2-3K more, one can always opt for Lenovo K900, which comes with comparably similar specs, however we are reserving our judgement until we take a closer look at the smartphone.
