Micromax A240 Canvas Doodle 2 vs Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8After targeting Samsung’s Note-series with its Canvas, Canvas 2 and Canvas HD smartphones, Micromax has now set its sights on Samsung’s Mega-series with the release of A240 Canvas Doodle 2. Packing a 5.7-inch 720p HD display, the phone has been clearly aimed at Mega 5.8.

As we all know that Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 isn’t a specs monster like Note-series smartphones, so while Micromax was not able to steal the real consumers of Note-series from Samsung (it only snatched the ones that wanted Note-series like phones but couldn’t afford them), it will be able to do so with Mega 5.8.

Micromax’s offering is better than Mega 5.8 in terms of the raw specs, be it display resolution, cameras or processor but there are other factors as well which come into play while buying smartphones, like after-sales service. Despite becoming a big mobile brand in country, Micromax lags behind in the after sales department. We read and hear horror stories of Micromax’s poor customer service every day, so this is one factor that you have to keep in mind.

Here is the specs-wise comparison of both the phones to further help you in making a choice.

  1. I’ll take S’sung/LG/Sony/HTC any day ahead of M’max/Karbonn/Lava/Celkon etc.

It’s not blind faith in their brands, but out of genuine concern for their lack of quality control at the manufacturing level and a total lack of after sales support 🙁
