Google and Samsung might be planning to take their partnership to the next level. During Google CEO Larry Page’s trip to South Korea, Samsung vice-chairman Lee Jay-yong floated this idea of a partnership with Google in their OLED business and Page seemed very interested in that, reports Korea Times.

“During the meeting with the Google CEO, I proposed the expansion of our business partnership to him. Larry Page showed interest in our OLED business,” Lee told media.

There has been no deal so far, but it might not be surprising to see if Google indeed joins Samsung in OLED business. Google has been dabbling with hardware for quite some time now and it even has a full-fledged hardware maker in the form of Motorola Mobility, so it might not be that weird for the company to invest in Samsung’s OLED business.

This partnership might even be extended to televisions, as apart from smartphones, it is the televisions that use OLED panels. May be, we will even see a Google TV powered Samsung OLED television in the future.
