After quite a few rumours about zero-bezel smartphone, Pantech has today announced its latest Android phone – Vega Iron with a 5-inch 720p almost zero-bezel display. The company however dubs it as zero-bezel, but it is 2.5mm wide, which according to Engadget, is half of what you will find on iPhone 5.
Pantech Vega Iron will most probably never make it out of South Korea. So, we can just get excited for the fact that there is something, which is possible and we would like to see it in a smartphone that will be launched in India.
Sporting a metal-body, Pantech Vega Iron is powered by a 1.7GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, it is the same processor, which is found in HTC One. Other features of the phone include 32GB of on-board storage, MicroSD card slot and 2GB of RAM.
The phone also comes with 13 megapixels rear camera, 2 megapixels front camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, and NFC. The included battery is 2,150 mAh and support rapid-charging.
The phone will be available in South Korea on all three major telecom operators SKT, KT and LG U+ beginning late-April.
