HTC is preparing a mid-range cousin of its recently launched HTC One smartphone. Dubbed as 606w, the phone was spotted on Chinese telecom equipment certification center site. The phone does not really take any design cues from the HTC One apart from the front stereo speakers.
As per the filing on the site, HTC 606w will be powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz processor of unknown make. It will run on Android 4.1.2 and sports a 4.5-inch qHD display. Other features of the phone will include 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera, and a 1.6MP front camera.
There is no word on when we can see the launch of HTC 606w or whether it will be released outside China.

@Ravi They are wrong, I have no clue from where they got these specs. If you see the original source – Chinese Telecom equipment certification center – link is given in the post, you will see that the specs we have reported are accurate.
