HTC One Looks like HTC One India launch is not very far.  One of our readers tipped us today that HTC will begin selling the flagship HTC One smartphone from April 22 in the country.  He has got this information from someone in HTC South-Asia as well an HTC retailer in New Delhi.

While, we were unable to verify it independently, it is in-line with what HTC has been telling during the recently held meet-ups across various Indian cities.

HTC had earlier officially announced that it plans to finish the Asia-Pacific roll-out of HTC One before the end-of-April, which means, we are going to see the HTC One India launch between today and April 30, so the April 22 release date does not seem that far-fetched. We are actively tracking the story and will update the story if anything else pops up.

HTC One was originally announced ahead of Mobile World Congress in February and has already gone on sale in countries like Taiwan, UK and Germany. The smartphone features a 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 1080p display. One also comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM.

On the imaging front, HTC has used an Ultrapixel camera, which can take up to 4MP large photos. Other features of this HTC flagship include front camera, Android 4.1 with HTC Sense 5 and usual set of connectivity options.

  1. HTC one is an awesome phone in all aspects. Recently anandtech has done a 14 page review on this phone and gave it ‘GOLD EDITOR”S CHOICE’ award – a award that wasnt previously given to any smartphones including the iPhone.

This phone has the highest ppi than GS4
Better low light image capture than GS4
Better construction than GS4 (Aluminum unibody)

To conclude, this is currently the best Android phone in the market.

    1. What About cost? No Doubt that HTC creates great phones/Design , but they lack
      1) Hardware/Software support
      2) Old device support
After 6 months down the line, when HTC launch another phone, they will forget HTC One completely. Like they did with HTC OneX, OneX+ etc.

      1. HTC announced that there will be no + edition for this phone and they have good support over my place. Even dead phone can get recovered in 1 days time. Chennai.

    2. What about the price??
HTC butterfly costs an exorbitant 44.5k. As a comparison, Xperia Z which is much better than butterfly, costs only 38k.
Using common sense, this won’t be cheaper than HTC’s older phone, butterfly, so it will be 45k+, which is just absurd.

I agree with you that this will be a better phone than GS4, but it’s not going to be without flaws. For instance the presence of hardware keys (instead of more convenient software keys like Xperia Z) or the bloated sense UI changes like blink feed.
It its not priced right, it’s not really worth it.
