Samsung Galaxy Grand getting software update, brings Group Play

galaxy-grand-group-play-updateSamsung has released a small software update for Galaxy Grand users. The update, which is currently rolling out over-the-air, brings Group Play feature. It is similar but a considerable trimmed down version of Group Play that has been introduced in Galaxy S 4 smartphone.

The update is 27.86MB in size and you can manually trigger it by going to About Phone >> Software Update >> Update.

The Group Play feature allows Galaxy Grand users to share pictures, documents and music to other Galaxy Grand users over a same Wi-Fi network or via Wi-Fi direct.

Samsung Galaxy Grand is the first Samsung Android device to get a feature that was introduced in S 4. Samsung has however promised to brings many of the Galaxy S 4 software customizations to Galaxy S III and Note II smartphones and these features will most probably be released as a part of Android 4.2.2 update for these phones.

This is the third software update for Galaxy Grand that we have seen in the recent few days. Earlier, Samsung has rolled-out two consecutive small software updates for the smartphone.

  1. I got my N7000 updated to samsung offical jelly been 4.1.2. Its very slow in responce. Can anyone help to know why is that.Thank you in advance.

  2. Group play for samsung grand not connecting to and not detecting other devices, is this a defect in the phone or is it a problem with the app itself
