Samsung has released a small software update for Galaxy Grand users. The update, which is currently rolling out over-the-air, brings Group Play feature. It is similar but a considerable trimmed down version of Group Play that has been introduced in Galaxy S 4 smartphone.
The update is 27.86MB in size and you can manually trigger it by going to About Phone >> Software Update >> Update.
The Group Play feature allows Galaxy Grand users to share pictures, documents and music to other Galaxy Grand users over a same Wi-Fi network or via Wi-Fi direct.
Samsung Galaxy Grand is the first Samsung Android device to get a feature that was introduced in S 4. Samsung has however promised to brings many of the Galaxy S 4 software customizations to Galaxy S III and Note II smartphones and these features will most probably be released as a part of Android 4.2.2 update for these phones.
This is the third software update for Galaxy Grand that we have seen in the recent few days. Earlier, Samsung has rolled-out two consecutive small software updates for the smartphone.
