Karbonn A6 with 4-inch IPS display available for INR 5,390

karbonn_a6A new Karbonn smartphone is now selling online and it features some decent specifications for the given price-tag. Dubbed as Karbonn A6, the smartphone is listed on Snapdeal.com and it has been priced at just INR 5,390.

For this pricing, you will get a 4-inch IPS WVGA display, Android 4.0, 5MP rear camera, and 1GHz processor.  The phone also comes with dual-SIM support, front camera and 1450 mAh battery. Although, we are yet to use the phone, but there are nice features on paper. The only downside I am seeing on the phone is the lack of 3G connectivity, which for many would certainly mar the deal.

Karbonn has become very aggressive in the budget smartphone market. Just yesterday, we reported about the availability of Karbonn Titanium S5, a low-priced phablet from the company that packs a quad-core processor and will join another quad-core smartphone Titanium S1 from the company.

We are seeing new sub-INR 10K smartphone launches every day and a majority of them are crap but every once in a while some phones appear, which show some promise. We hope that Indian companies stop playing this game of quantity and start focussing on quality.

  1. This phone is not for those who want to install more apps. The internal memory just shows only 108 MB.Even the pinch to zoom is not working.I tried to install crome brower from the android market but it shows that the phone is not supporting.
