iBall has announced the addition of a brand-new tablet to its portfolio today. Dubbed as Edu-Slide i-1017, the tablet is being targeted to students.  iBall Edu-Slide runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and has been priced at INR 12,999.

As the tablet is meant for student, iBall is pre-loading educational content by eTeach on the tablet.  It offers educational material for students from standard I to XII for both CBSE and SSC (Maharashtra) in English. eTeach also offers Marathi medium content of SSC students from standards V to X.

All tablets buyers will be able to get one standard course material for free; however as an introductory offer, iBall is offering consumers an additional course material for free until 15th of April 2013.

“We’re entering with a motive to complement our education system, not replace it. There is a dearth of quality content in this sector and with increasing number of tablet users, now’s a great time to present iBall Edu-Slide powered by eTeach,” said Sandeep Parasrampuria, iBall.

iBall is not the only tablet giving educational content on its tablets, even HCL retail few tablet under myEduTab sub-brand.
