Lava is pushing out a software update for its XOLO A800 smartphone in India. The update, which is 166.5MB in size, brings bug-fixes and other performance improvements to this Android smartphone.

This software update is rolling-out over-the-air, however you can also check manually by going to XOLO Care>> Update >> Check for software update.

Given the large size of this update, it would better to download the update using Wi-Fi network otherwise you might incur significant data charges.

The update also reportedly reduces the charging time of the smartphone. As most of the updates are roll-out in phases, don’t get impatient if you don’t get it right-away.

Originally launched in December last year, XOLO A800 features a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display, Android 4.0, 1GHz dual-core processor, 8MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, and 1600 mAh battery. It also sports 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, microSD card slot (8GB in the box) and dual-SIM connectivity.

  1. Are there any more specifics available about the update. I’ve just installed the update and it doesn’t seem to have made any difference to the phone.
