Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 update for Galaxy Note II users in India. Available over-the-air as well as via Kies app, the update download is about 262.88 MB in size.

The update brings several new features to this phablet including customizable notification shade, new notification toggles, option to disable multi-window, option to remove brightness slider from the notification bar, new keyboard with gesture typing and new lock-screen effect.

Other changes include Easy mode on S Planner, new S Note widget, Group Cast app, and stability/usability improvements.

Update build number: JZO54K.N7100XXDLL4

Samsung had started the Android 4.1.2 update roll-out with Poland two weeks ago and it did not take much time to reach India.

Please keep in mind that update is released in batches, so not all smartphone units are updated at once. It might take some days to reach your device.

To remind you, the smartphone, which was launched in the country back in September, was until running on Android 4.1.1.
