With the release of Android 4.2, Google has revealed that it will no longer be releasing any major Android updates for Motorola Xoom and Nexus S smartphone. Both the devices were supported for a surprisingly long time and it is expected that they won’t be getting Android 4.2.

Company has already released Android 4.1.2 for both, and that is about it. These devices might any security update if deemed necessary.

The news was announced by AOSP Technical Lead Jean-Baptiste Queru, who said that the two devices will be left on Android 4.1.2.

Google has already started rolling out Android 4.2 for rest of the Nexus devices like Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7 and with two new launches; it has a pretty sizeable list of devices to now take care off.
