samsung-GALAXY_Camera_with_logoSamsung today announced that it will start selling its first Android powered camera – Galaxy Camera in UK starting November 8. The camera will be priced at GBP 399.

Featuring a 16-megapixel 1/2.3″ sensor and an f/2.8 21x optical zoom lens, the Galaxy Camera runs on Android 4.1 and is powered by a quad-core processor.

“The initial response to the Galaxy Camera has been amazing and we are really looking forward to offering our customers a completely new type of digital photography device. The Galaxy Camera is a fantastic example of our continued passion for innovation and we are excited to be evolving our Galaxy range even further,” said Simon Stanford, Vice President, Telecommunications & Networks Division, Samsung UK and Ireland.

The camera also comes with 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity along with a 121.2mm HD Super Clear Touch display.

Samsung is also planning to release Galaxy Camera in India before Diwali, but is yet to announce an exact availability date.
