micromax-a90sMicromax is prepping to launch a successor to its not-so-long-ago launched A90 Superfone Pixel smartphone. Dubbed as Micromax A90s, the smartphone will have a dual-core processor. This is currently listed as out-of-stock on Flipkart, but sources familiar with Micromax’s plans reveal that the smartphone will become available next week in the country.

Micromax is doing the same as it did with A100 Superfone Canvas. Company recently released its successor in the form of A110 Superfone Canvas 2, also with a dual-core processor.

Flipkart listing suggests that A90s (probably will be dubbed as Superfone Pixel 2) will be priced at INR 12,999.

Micromax A90s will come with most of the same specs as A90, which include Android 4.0, 0.3MP front camera, dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) connectivity, 1GHz dual-core processor, 8MP rear camera and 4.3-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display.

Other features include 512MB RAM, 4GB of storage, microSD card slot, and 1600 mAh battery.

Micromax smartphone division has been releasing dual-SIM Android smartphones in the country like anything and released over 20 devices till date. Most of these smartphones are priced in the budget segment and have helped Micromax grab a decent budget smartphone market share.

Update: Micromax A90s has been officially launched in the country.
