Sony’s entry-level smartphone Xperia miro is now on pre-order in the country for a not-so-entry-level price tag of INR 14,499. We are not sure why would Sony want to price a 800MHz processor powered smartphone at such a high price, considering the competition in the market.

Sony Xperia miro was originally announced back in June along with Xperia tipo and Xperia tipo dual. It features 3.5-inch display with HVGA resolution, 5MP rear camera, and front camera.

It also comes with Android 4.0, 1500 mAh battery, 512MB RAM, 2.2GB user memory and microSD card support. According to a listing on Flipkart, the smartphone would be released in the third week of September, just a week after Xperia tipo and Xperia tipo dual, which are also currently on pre-order.

  1. Xperia U is unbeatable in 16k price range. Sd card support from this is only
advantage over U. This phone is not better value for money. U is much better
    than this.

  2. The Xperia U can be bought for ~15k from Sulekha and ~14kish in ebay india with 10% off deals. That has a dual core 1GHz Cortex A9 and 3.5″ FWVGA screen.

This phone has a single core 800MHz Cortex A5 and a 3.5″ HVGA screen. Anything above ~11.5k MOP and this phone is Dead On Arrival.

  3. 800Mhz phone for 14.5k… Sony keep this to urself!!! wont sell in india 🙂
Cut price to 9-10k and it will be a winner among its class…

  4. You can get Sony Experia U for 12.5K on Rediff Shopping
Also the ones that you get on EBAY are they trust worth? I some how feel that they are seconds

  5. considering HTC launched the Desire C at 14k+ with a processor clocked at just 600 Mhz I dont think Sony could have gotten the pricing of the xperia miro any better.
