HTC, which is struggling a lot despite the popular One series of smartphones, seems to have finally decided to jump in the lucrative dual-SIM market. Dual-SIM devices are very popular in emerging markets and often cater to the entry-level segment, but HTC has decided to go a little up with its new smartphone.
Taiwanese manufacturer has launched its first dual-SIM Android smartphone Desire V in Ukraine and Indonesia today. Dubbed as Desire V, it is set to make its debut in Asia and Europe this July.
Powered by Android 4.0 and Sense 4, it comes with 1GHz processor and sports a 4-inch display with WVGA resolution. The specs are pretty much mid-range and we would be surprised to see One V kind of pricing.
Desire V offers dual-standby connectivity and only one SIM card comes with 3G support, which is a little disappointing.
