GO Launcher

GO Launcher, a highly customizable homescreen replacement application for Android, has a new public beta version that is now available for the taking and testing; however, you’re not going to find this one on the Google Play Store just yet.

XDA member and GO Launcher product  manager bugujun stopped by the forums the other day to drop the new release. Public beta version 2.85 brings along with it a number of visual and performance enhancements, including a newly-revamped user interface. As always, GO Launcher is available to download for free.

Have a look below for the update details:

1. (New) Change the interface and operation of preview screen (Long press to delete screens.)
2. (New) Add an option to set heap size (in advanced settings)
3. (Improve) Smoother experience when sliding screens
4. (Improve) Change the show-up occasion of tips
5. (Fix) Error of vertical app drawer while using effects

If you don’t mind the possibility of running into a bug here or there, I urge you to head over to the original thread for the download link and any other 411 you may need to get you going.

  1. MX home launcher is smooth n quick. It’s faster than go launcher but options r very less n also theme problem but is quick n looks fancy.. I m having both as go launcher shows t qualities of android.

  2. I use ADW and Go. Go has more options and effects than ADW but because of widgets Go lags a bit on home screen hope this update has the solution
