If you were looking for Android smartphones under INR 20K, you can consider HTC Desire HD. It has seen a price-cut recently and is now selling for only INR 18,990 at Saholic.com. Also mentioned by HTC in the official ICS upgradable devices list, Desire HD is a decent device to get at this price.

Desire HD features 4.3 inch display, 768MB RAM, 1GHz Qualcomm processor, Android 2.3, 8MP rear camera, 1.5GB internal memory, and 1230 mAh battery.

  2. u can always replace it with a more powerful one. I see plain TFT display as a bigger problem. It has low contrast and visibility in sunlight is also not so good.
