Panasonic has announced the second smartphone in its Eluga series – Eluga Power today. Featuring a five inch display, Eluga Power will compete with the likes of LG Optimus Vu and Samsung Galaxy Note.

Panasonic Eluga Power features a 720p display, 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, Android 4.0, 8MP rear camera, NFC, 8GB Internal memory, front camera and 1800mAh battery. It is also water/dust proof and comes with the usual connectivity options. Panasonic claims that Eluga Power battery can reach 50pc charge in just 30 minutes.

There is no word on the pricing or the availability of the smartphone right now, but Eluga Power will be joining earlier announced Eluga in the European market.
