As reported a few days ago, Intel and Lava have officially confirmed their partnership today and announced the launch of Lava XOLO X900 Android smartphone. It will be available in the Indian market sometime in the next quarter on Airtel & Aircel.
Based on the Medfield reference design, Lava XOLO X900 features Android 2.3 (upgradable to Android 4.0), 1.6GHz Atom Z2460 processor, 4.03-inch display, 8MP rear camera, 3MPfront camera, HDMI, NFC, HSPA+ and 1460mAh battery.
“We are proud to partner with Intel on XOLO to bring a superior smartphone computing experience to customers in India. Over the last two and a half years, we have built our business in the feature phone segment where Lava has been the brand of choice for nearly 10 million Indian customers. With XOLO, we intend to now serve the discerning and fast-paced smartphone customer, which is where this collaboration with Intel is critical to us,” said Vishal Sehgal, co-founder and director, Lava International, in a statement.
There is no word on pricing of Lava XOLO X900 right now.

LAVA XOLO X900 is International quality,Indian soul.
Wow! Well if they make it run ics out of the box and price it aggressively, it may sell good. But regardless of the performance, the single core cpu on the spec sheet will definitely be a deal breaker for those who prefer the smartphone with the most cores in it.
it is destined to fail because to continue the track record of other Indian companies like Olive & Notion Ink they will bring the phone to the market at a time when the hardware and software get outdated! 🙁

Going to be a great move from lava. If they can market it with good price since we are a price sensitive nation, should be a hot cake.
Lava Xolo is going to be a great phone in India and abroad if pricing is done the right way. It has great specifications with nice looks.

Xolo care and they told me that its under repair and will come back in

and they said that still under repairing then i asked them to call some
senior person of this office they give number of Mr Nitish Bharadwaj

times to Mr.Nitish but that person at a high level give me such excuses
that phone will come on monday then fridat then monday again and again
.they told me that the display is to be change and your will receive
phone shortly everyday i call xolo care service center (Durga
Communication) on phone number 01724606322.Every day i called to Service
center (Durga communication land line number) and Mr Rahul (the
technical person of that care center-9872914322) and Mr Mr Nitish
Bharadwaj but every one is giving excuses from the past 50 days but i
did’nt recive my phone yet.then i called Mr Gaurav Kappor (Contry head)
and they give me number of Mr Amit(Head of punjab ) and chandigarh
between i called many times to Toll free no – 1800-30-100-104 and ask
the executive to check the status and every time i did’nt receive my
phone since its 43 rd day i ma fed up of this as i am suffering from
this service.
Kindly resolve the problem,Otherwise i have to go through legal process.
