After Samsung dumped the year-old seven inch Galaxy Tab Wi-Fi in India, it has turned up on IndiaPlaza for just INR 13,999 as a limited period offer. While, we have had our bad service experiences with Indiaplaza, this is certainly a deal worth talking about.
Letsbuy, which originally started selling this tablet yesterday, has already exhausted its limited stock at INR 19,990.
For 14K, you will get a single core 1GHz processor, 3MP rear camera, front camera, 16GB of internal memory, Android 2.2, 7 inch TFT capacitive display with 1024X600 resolution, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, 16GB microSD card and full suite of Google Apps including Android market.
INR 20K price was certainly a no-go, but at this price, do you think it is worth buying?

The Indiaplaza site shows that the Touch screen type is “resistive” whereas report above shows “capacitive”. Dont think its worth going for if it is infact “resistive” touch screen even at this price.

Though this tab is wi-fi, the Indiaplaza link says it supports 3G, it is GSM and dual sim !!!!

A big “NO”
Reasons:
1> The kind of hardware at this price seems waste of money. The chinese Mali-400 based tablets are way too good. And they’re merely available at sub 150 USD throughout. Too bad, we can buy these sort of hardware at this price.
2> It’s indiaplaza yaar. I’ve always had the most horrible experience dealing with these guys. I would probably think 10 times even if they say thet have a Galaxy 10.1 tab at this price.
3> Kindle Fire, is a better option at this price, any day!!!

We must sue indiaplaza for their cheating! Rs.26000 MRP & 46% discount on this Tab, with all wrong tech specs like 3G, Dual sim etc on the first day of propaganda. The second day of propaganda ended up with MRP 17100 and correct specs. Really a waste for this amount. Believing on high fi specs I have already paid 14K and asked them for compensation. If they are not responding, I have decided to proceed legally . Let’s all unite together to fight against such online cheating!
