LG has silently launched Optimus 2 in United States recently and smartphone is available from regional telecom operators C-Spire & Cellcom. Several blogs reported yesterday about the apparent sighting of Optimus 2 on LG US website, which was because the smartphone had already been released on C-Spire, as you can see on the telco’s website.

C Spire is selling LG Optimus 2 for free with the two year contract and for $209.99 without contract online ($239.99 in stores). This is not all, Unwired View is reporting that Optimus 2 is also available from another small regional operator Cellcom for $0.95 with a new two-year contract.

LG Optimus 2 features 800 MHz processor, 3.2-inch display with 320×480p resolution, 3.2 MP camera, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, 1,500 mAh battery, and 179 MB of internal storage. It runs on Android 2.3.
