Google is scheduled to announce its Music service later today in United States (or early tomorrow as per IST). According to reports till now, company has signed up three of the top four music labels to provide their songs as a part of this music service.

Google started sending invites for today’s event last week, fueling the rumors of the arrival of Google Music. Sony Music, EMI Music and Universal Music are said to be part of the service along with Independent music labels. Some last minute deals were made with Universal and Sony to get them on-board for the launch, else there was fear that service might turn out to be a failure in the absence of major music labels.

There are also reports that company will leave its existing cloud-based music locker service Music Beta as it is and it is not expected to see any major changes. It was launched earlier this year and is used to upload digital music in the cloud, which is then accessible via PC, Android smartphones and tablets.

Search engine giant has not made any official comment till now regarding Google Music launch. However the initial leaks have suggested that songs will be priced around $1 and consumers will be able to share the music to their Google+ contacts for one/two listens. The Music service will also be integrated in Android Market similar to company’s e-book and Movies offerings.
